Computing or Online Safety Lead? Sign-up for our newsletter
Our Online Safety Surveys are designed to support schools in identifying the online experiences and feelings of their pupils and their families. Results can be used to ensure the school's Online Safety curriculum and wider provision meets the needs of its pupils, and supports families appropriately.
Find out more about our full Primary Online Safety scheme of work, ActiveBYTES, which enables full coverage of the DfE expectations in Online Safety.
If you would like support with Online Safety staff training, accreditation or parent workshops, please get in touch for more information.
Our surveys are available below as printable documents (PDF) or as Google Forms/Microsoft Forms for pupils/parents to complete online. The Microsoft/Google Forms are designed so that School leaders can edit, add or remove questions to suit the school's needs, or use without editing. The Foundation Stage survey is designed to be sent home to promote discussion between children and their parents/carers, so it is only available as a PDF document. The Pupil Voice discussion questions are also PDF only, because they are designed to be used with a class/group of pupils to prompt more open-ended discussions in school about Online Safety.
Key stage one pupils are likely to need support to complete their survey. Most key stage two pupils will be able to complete theirs independently, but could have support as appropriate.
Please note that these questions do not include Computing. We provide a separate Computing pupil voice survey here.
If you are sharing our surveys beyond your own school, we ask that you acknowledge www.somersetelim.org as the original source.
