The NCCE Computing Quality Framework for Schools
The Computing Quality Framework is a free interactive self-review tool, provided by National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE), and funded by the DfE, to help schools review their provision for Computing.
The CQF provides:
• A clear, easy to use process for identifying strengths and areas for development.
• Links to resources, targeted at your school’s specific needs.
• Suggestions for next steps, including free CPD, subsidies and other support from Computing Hubs.
• Reports which record and evidence progress over time.
• Progressive certification.
• The opportunity to gain a free accreditation (see below).
Accreditation
When a school feels that they have achieved the appropriate level in all aspects, they can choose to apply for the nationally recognised Computing Quality Mark, which is awarded by STEM Learning on behalf of the National Centre for Computing Education.
The eLIM team can support schools at all stages of the CQF process. Please get in touch if you would like more information or to arrange support with using the tool.
